As we reflect upon our journey,
And we steer Miss Daisy east,
From many stops across this land
Our appreciation has increased.
“America the Beautiful”
Is not just a song.
The beauty and the majesty
We experienced all along.
The mountains and the valleys
The canyons and the hills
The people and the wildlife
All contribute to our thrills.
We have traveled to foreign lands,
But what we both have found,
That many cultures and walks of life
Are right here within our bounds.
The people we have met
Were all so friendly and kind.
We live in a wonderful country,
No one will change our minds.
We cherish spending days together,
Exploring and sharing this trail.
We enjoy our adventures in retirement,
Before we become too frail.
So as our reliable “Miss Daisy”
Rolls on to our homeward site,
We thank you all for following us
And hope we whet your travel appetite.

FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT HOME
SPRING HILL, WISCONSIN
Taliesin is the home, studio, school and 800 acre country estate of Frank Lloyd Wright. This home is a prime example of Wright’s philosophy of organic architecture. Wright designed his home in the valley in 1911. He gave it the Welsh name Taliesin, meaning “shining brow”. Wright placed Taliesin on the “brow” of the hill, leaving the crown of the hilltop open.
GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN
Lambeau Field is home to the Green Bay Packers. It is the longest continually occupied stadium in the NFL. The loyal support of fans has helped the Packers organization grow and expand. The team grew from a small town start-up to a major player in the NFL. Curly Lambeau and Vince Lombardi are the prime contributors to the Packers’ success.
The town of Munising is in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on Lake Superior. “Yooper” is the name given to the people who live in the Upper Peninsula. Lake Superior is the largest (about the size of Maine), coldest, roughest, and cleanest of the Great Lakes.
BOBBY ORR HALL OF FAME
PARRY SOUND, ONTARIO
The sparkling waters of Parry Sound are the backdrop for the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame. It is an interactive sports heritage museum paying tribute to one of hockey’s greatest players. Parry Sound is Bobby Orr’s home town. It is where his love of hockey began. Viewing the photos and videos on exhibit brought back my fond memories of watching him play for the Boston Bruins.
NIAGARA FALLS, ONTARIO
The tremendous force of the Niagara waterfalls is a natural wonder. Four of the five Great Lakes (Superior, Michigan, Huron, and Erie) drain into the Niagara River before emptying into Lake Ontario.
Niagra-On-The-Lake is on the shores of Lake Ontario, at the mouth of the Niagara River. This year is Canada’s 150th birthday, and there are many celebrations in town. The area has over eighty wineries. The vineyards flank the roads leading into town, creating a spectacular landscape. Our stay in Niagara-On-The-Lake was a perfect end to our wonderful three-month travel journey.
